Biography

Self-taught painter since 1988 he has discovered many techniques and really prefers acrylic, oil and watercolours. Looking for his own style and more and more passionate about painting, the Gaspésien artist discovers and creates his little characters full of life and naïvety. It is behind these different sceneries full of light and colour that these same characters take life.

Since that time, we can notice a constant evolution a stable composition and a mastering of his techniques. From an improved stroke of the brush a bigger self-confidence and a better control in the execution of his paintings, Guillaume polishes up his art form year to year. Since 2004, he paints with oil on a black background. From this technical ease, comes works of art with surprising contrasting effects.

Ambitious and determined it is in 1999 that he adds another string to his bow and becomes a business man. That's when he realizes his dream and becomes the owner of the tourist complex Centre d'Art Marcel Gagnon in Sainte-Flavie Gaspésie at the age of 24. He realizes many projects giving more prestige to his business. Confident in himself and his capacities, he works at his young age in the business world which makes him a shrewd business man.

Today business man, a happy and full family life with his spouse and their 3 young children and from his point of view having the most beautiful job in the world: artist painter. Guillaume is happy and proud of his always improving achievements.
