Biography

 

Artist painter (born in 1969)

 

 

Hairdresser by trade, Isabelle really likes her job which she has been doing since 1987. Inspired by the artistic world that surrounds her and having always lived in this environment, she is interested little by little in the art of painting and decides to invest some time in it.

 

 

She tries different techniques but the one she prefers is acrylic painting. In 2000, she asks her brother Guillaume professional artist painter to teach her some basic notions. The more she works at it the more she realizes that creativity is a trait which is particular to each person. Feeling like a caged bird she soon escapes to find her own style by different artistic experiments.

 

 

Developing her own creativity for her new passion she produces a first set of paintings full of all kinds of shapes. From year to year she polishes up her works of art and the shapes become beautiful flowers painted in an original fashion and full of colours. To give her paintings a difference from other painters she includes framing to her paintings inside her work of art stimulating another visual aspect.

 

Artistes en fête (An artists celebration)

From this originality and full of confidence she participates for the first time in 2008 to the symposium "Artistes en fête"(An artists celebration) in Sainte-Flavie Gaspésie and wins a prize that artists really like to receive, the prize "Coup de coeur du public" (The art goers really love it ) as well as the jury prize "Chevalet d'or" (Gold easel) and "Pinceau d'or" (Gold paintbrush).

 

Isabelle invites you to come see her works of art among her family's, at the art gallery at Centre d'Art Marcel Gagnon to discover her style, her personal touch and this passion for art of which she is proud.
